I'm running digikam on openSUSE KED 4 as my main photo manager. The problem is that when I fist opened the program I chose to set auto crop. How do I change this to a manual crop. Thanks for any help.

if there's no option in settings (and I didn't see one, but ......) you might need to edit $KDEHOME/share/config/digikamrc
open in Kate and search for crop and see if there's something like "Auto Crop=true", and just delete the line or change to false note: $KDEHOME is either ~/.kde or ~/.kde4 depending on distro |

Can't solve it. I'm doing something wrong. I will research further. I just can't seem to find anything related to auto crop. I will just keep trying. |

you may need to post on the digikam mailing list or ask on the #digikam irc channel

I just opened Digikam as a new user and was not asked about "auto crop", are you sure you were? I'm running 3.3.0 so things may have changed.
does ctrl+shft+x toggle auto crop? |

I just reinstalled the openSUSE distro and reconfiged digikam. It did give me the option of setting it to a manual crop along with various settings. Didn't take me long. Thanks for your concerns and help.
