Honestly, it's almost constant!!
Hi All, Myself and a couple of collegues have been using the above for geotagging photos for the past week and have been banging our heads against the wall as it keeps crashing on all three workstations when performing various tasks involved in geotagging. We are using the following version: digiKam Version 3.5.0 Using KDE Development Platform 4.13.3 Also, we're using brand new Linux systems so there shouldn't be any hardeware issues. Can anybody tell me whether this kind of thing is normal or not?!? Thanks, Alex. |

digikam 3.5.0 sound pretty old, current is 4.5.0 - you mis-posted?
couple of maybe things to try: - upgrade KDE to 4.14.x - upgrade Digikam to 4.5.0 or 4.6.0 (which is available for some distros) - make sure you have the proper libraries needed for geotagging, think its libgeomap2, maybe libgeoclue0 and maybe others (of course you package names might be different) are all 3 systems are same distro? for debugging you can try - running kdebugdialog -> deselect all -> search for digikam -> select all -> apply - then restart digikam, start it in Konsole as it might also provide information - after the crash look in the end of file ~/.xsession-errors |
