How to change settings/parameters in Used Filters?

I am an occasional user of digikam (version 3.5.0), now considering using it as my main photo editor/organizer.

A thing I just seem not to be able to get working is this: I open a photo, then I use e.g. 'Color->Curves Adjust' and 'Transform -> Crop to Selection'.
On the right side, under Versioning I see Image History and Used FIlters.
Problem: I can't see a way to **change** the settings of a Used Filter (in this case, Curves Adjust or Crop to Selection).
I imagine I should be able to select a Used Filter, it would open with the settings previously used, and I would be able to alter them if I wish to.

I apologize for asking such a simple question, surely this is most basic but I tried several times, googled, went over digikam configs, documentation etc. but I simply couldn't find how to do this. At the same time it is difficult to imagine that it would be the case that this is not possible to do, as this would mean any minor change in settings would necessinate a whole new version starting from the original image.
