Hi,

I have some images which are edited in Google PIcasa on Windows. The tags I added are in Chinese, and are encoded to "gb2312" encoding and stored in IPTC metadata. In digiKam, the tags are displayed as diamond squares.

I know that some people are suggesting to allow unicode in IPTC tags. But for the long run, it would be better to put everything into XMP.

So I wonder if there's any trick/tool that would allow me to batch migrate IPTC tags to XMP. And if possible, set the encodings correctly.
