Dear all,

a) Can somebody explain the options in the "Find Duplicates" feature, namely the "Restrict to images being in" and "Restrict" items?

b) Why I ask:

I have an image collection with about 100k files. I regularly add images, about 300 at a time, and I want to know if an image I have added is already included in my collection. When I use the "Find Duplicates" feature as it is it will take about two hours, and will show me a lot of images I have seen before and which are not duplicates.

What I would like to have: Only check the images in my "New Items" folder against all the rest of the collection. Any way to do this?

Thanks a lot in advance

btw - I have been using Digikam for ages and find it an awesome tool.
