Out of curiosity I wanted to test the new version of digikam.
Since no .deb package available just tried the appimage.
With the result that the original 5.6 version no longer displays previews.
Renaming the databases and re-creating the albums did not get me any further. What has the Appimage bent me on the system?

I forgot to mention, daily updated Debian Buster with plasma.

After the latest update in Debian up to Version 5.9.0 all is ok now.
