Adding tags with more natural search?

I have a digikam database with mostly car photos and have arranged a tag hierarchy as such:

Code: Select all
chevy
- camero
-- black
--yellow
- aero
-- green
-- black
honda
-civic
--black
-- red

You get the idea. For reasons that I won't go into, this is the best way for me to organize the tags. My problem is that when an image is selected and I'm editing the tags on the right hand side, I want to, for example, say "black" but "black" brings up every model of car that has a black model. This is obviously not very efficient. Is there some setting I can set so I can search for "black chevy" and only have it show chevy models? I tried changing the search function between natural and the other option to no avail.

This is on Ubuntu using the latest appimage 64-bit.

Thanks for anybody who can help!
