Thumbnail order in thumbnail view

I would like to:-
-Display as thumbnails all images with a particular tag (fine, I can do this) -I would like to select manually the order in which these thumbnails are displayed (and hence the order in which images appear in Preview) -There is a View menu option Sort Items, with submenu options creation date, file name, etc -This Sort Items submenu includes Manually -Is this how to do what I want? -How does the Sort Manually work? I cannot make it do anything. (It seems somehow, if anything, to group images?) Help would be much appreciated. Simon |

Which application are you talking about? Gwenview? Digikam? Dolphin? Something else?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
