digiKam 7.2.0-beta 1 Ubuntu 20.04
I geotag photos using "Geolocation Editor". The map displays the icon in the proper location.
When I export the photo, the geotag info is neither in the exported jpg file or its associated xmp sidecar.
If i check the xmp sidecar in the photo directory, the geotag info is not there.
So, it appears as if the geotag metadata is stored in the digikam db but I am unable to get the data stored in the sidecar file.
What am I doing wrong?
In digiKam Configure, I have Metadata -> Write to sidecar files -> Write to xmp sidecar only
I've tried Item -> Write Metadata to file
Still no data in the sidecar file.

I believe I found the cause of my issue....Geolocation information was not checked in Configure ->Metadata->Behavior tab
