Hi
Is there a way to rename raw+jpeg to the same file name and number using the Renamer tool in Digikam?

My workflow is the following:
1. Always shoot jpeg+raw (jpeg for quick sharing, raw for "special" photos).
2. Copy all files into year-month folder.
3. Rename files so that RAW and JPEG have the same name like this:
yyyy-mm-dd Name of image 001.NEF
yyyy-mm-dd Name of image 001.JPEG

I have not been able to figure out how to get Digikam to do this.
The proprietary software IMatch can do this easily, but I have tired of that program which never runs properly in a VM in Linux.
Digikam is outstanding and I hope to rely on it exclusively.

Thanks to all for advice!

Hi,
yes, you can do this, by means of "Tools" --> "Batch Processing",
the formula for renaming is --> [date:"yyyy-MM-dd"] [file] ###
where [file] is your name of image and ### is the progressive number
( it's all automatic, don't worry about it ! )

you can use this renaming command just after another simple command, e.g. "apply metadata model",
and then put the result into a new subfolder

Process separately JPG and RAW, in order to have the same progressive number

it really works, I use it sometime.
