Hi - relatively new to Digikam but liking the versatility immensely.

I have a lot of slides that I digitized in September 2011, which is set as the capture date. However I would to set the original date to the date I actually took the image, to keep that as a record for the image. When I try and do this using the metadata editor, I seem to reset all the dates.

Is there a way of setting the original date only for the metadata and retaining the capture date or would I be better off putting the date into say the Caption field?
