Two problems with image editor

Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:31 pm
Hello,

Digikam works fine on my system, except for two little quirks:

1.
When I start the editor on a RAW file, the editor takes ~10 seconds until it is loaded. Note: I am talking about the image editor. Digikam itself starts very fast! The images where shot with a Sony camera and saved in RAW format. Each file is about 25MB. My system consists of a QuadCore CPU, 8 GB RAM and an SSD. So it should not show this kind of lag.

2.
After an image is opened in the editor, it looks different than the jpeg preview in the overview window: the exposure values seem to get changed while opening the file. Here are two screen shots to explain:

This is how I shot the image, how I wanted it to look and and how it looks in the jpeg preview window: https://www.directupload.net/file/d/620 ... d7_jpg.htm.

And this is how it looks after the image is loaded in the image editor: https://www.directupload.net/file/d/620 ... 5o_jpg.htm

How do I prevent Digikam from making these changes while opening the image editor?

Is it possible that the first problem is related to the second problem? If there are changes applied to the image while loading the editor, that would explain the long delay.

Thanks in advance for any help!
