Hi, i try to set up an dual boot laptop and would like to know it it is possible to use Lightroom and digiKam in parallel - if changes are stored into the image by xmp / IPTC

Attention – this only works as long as changes are made and populated by lightroom. As soon as the same image has been changed in Lightroom and digiKam, the digiKam version no longer receive changes from Lightroom.

is this true ?
Is there a workaround?

I see in digiKam changes made by lightroom in xmp / IPTC of the image, but the tags in digiKam do not match - so xmp / IPTC of the image do not match the database of digiKam . The function "Reread Metadata From Files" seams not to work here.

Is there a way to change this?
