Running digikam 5.6.0.

I wanted to geotag my photos in digikam.

In google, I had my location history turned on. So I can see how I moved around on a given day. I exported the data in a kml file.

But digikam does not recognize a kml file for geolocation.

So, I used gpsbabel to convert the kml file into a gpx file.

Now, when I load this gpx file in digikam, it produces an error no datapoints were found.

How do I get out of this? Do I need to use any specific settings while converting from kml to gpx?
