I am stuck with the above errors for some time upon opening Digikam (MacOS).

Is it because my database file is corrupted, and I need to delete and rebuild it?

If I delete my database file, will Digikam rebuild it? Are there specific steps to doing this? Is it digikam4.db, or thumbnails-digikam.db, that I need to delete?

Will I lose all my tagging and cataloguing work on my photos?

I need some reassurance that (a) it is necessary, and (b) I don't lose all my work.
