There are some typefaces (like, for example, erewon) that offer both, an Italic and a Slanted version. Both are different, but my Spanish KDE show both versions as "itálica", which is wrong (Slanted should be translated as "inclinado").
Left image is the Slanted version and right the Italic one, both shown on KDE's font viewer. Because of this "confusion" KDE apps cannot select the right weight.

EDIT: the problem was in the font, not in KDE translations. After reporting the problem to the font maintainer, version 1.05 of Erewhon fixed the issue.
