Can't select Esperanto for system language

I'm not able to select Esperanto for my system language in the system settings (it doesn't even show up in the list of languages). What could be causing this problem?
OS: Kubuntu 20.04 Plasma ver.: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks ver.: 5.68.0 Qt ver.: 5.12.8 |

For a language to be included it has to pass the threshold of 80% of strings translated, as you can see here https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/trunk-kf5/team/eo/Esperanto is still rather far from that. I am sure the translation team for Esperanto welcomes help
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
