I would like to translate some kde apps to my language malayalam . Please tell the step by step procedure . I got some .pot files from kde localisation site . But dont know what to do with that. Is there any special apps for translation

The first place where you could look for hints is the KDE Localization site at http://l10n.kde.org
Your prefered language has its team site at http://l10n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=ml and looking at the translation stats i guess your help would be very welcome.

Also, from the main localization site you can reach this article at techbase: http://techbase.kde.org/Localization

But before you start you should ask the malayalam team, in which area help is needed so you won't conflict with someone already working on the app you'd like to work on, too.
