KDM does not have language selector

Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:06 pm
Well, some people never learn... and believe that English is only language on the planet. KDM developers! Or guys, who know them! Please tell KDM authors to insert keyboard layout button into KDM login interface.

All distros I saw, including Kubuntu, Fedora but not limited to, set primary language the same as user chooses for installation. But old pall "passwd" still accepts only Latin 1 encoding and user must switch to US layout to input password. Worst of it, you'll never guess what key combination is active for layout switching so it can become very irritating thing just to login in.

Situation with layouts in last GDM is even worst, so please think twice before copying that brain-dead interface.
