Last year, and this year too, my students and me translated KDE 3.5.10 to Bosnian language. The reason for choosing this version was that it is much easier to complete the translation, than 4.0. This translation is now part of our BHLD Linux (http://bhld.linux.org.ba), and we raised translation status from 45% to almost 100%.

I would like to submit the translation to the KDE community, because KDE 3.5.x is still used in many actively maintained distributions (Kubuntu Hardy LTS, Debian Lenny, Slax 6.1 ...), however the project is closed. Is there a way to update the translations?

Many of the translations are likely still used in KDE 4, although there will be some different strings, others not in use anymore, etc.

I suggest you ask on the kde-i18n-doc@kde.org mailing list, who will likely be able to merge the translations you have done into KDE 4.
