Tested on KDE 4.5.1, 4.5.4 and 4.6 RC1 in Kubuntu 10.10.

Gnome programs do not have the translated name in the KDE menu, see the example in the screenshot.

I use the Portuguese language of Brazil (pt_BR).

One example is the Totem movie player, in Portuguese in the gnome-panel is correct: Reprodutor de Filmes.

But in KDE appears in English, Movie Player.

The same goes for all other programs of Gnome.

After many tests I found the problem. KDE uses msgctxt to replace msgid, while still using KDE programs do msgid.

It would be good if not finding a translation msgctxt tried to find a translation for the msgid

This is an issue which should be handled by the *buntu developers I believe.
