Hi, I resently install kde 4.11 in Mint 15 KDE.... all work fine, but, if I plug an usb stick nothing happends, fdisk -l see it ok but nothing in dolphin or notification, my mounted partitions not show listed in dolphin either.... any Ideas??

btw, sorry about my english i'm out of practice. and... thanks in advance ^-^

English:

In Linux Mint 15 if you upgrade KDE from 4.10 .5 to KDE 4.11.0 via kubuntu-backport your devices not shown anymore under Dolphin left panel and if you plug in an usb device you haven't any mount point and you need to mount manually the device.
You can Fix this issue easily... just install udisks2

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install udisks2

After install udisks2 every device shows again in Dolphin left panel and yours usb devices mounts properly.

Hope this help some one, I went crazy for 2 days

Code: Select all
 sudo apt-get install udisks2

Después de instalar udisks2 los discos se muestran de nuevo en el panel izquierdo de Dolphin y tus dispositivos USB se monta adecuadamente.

Espero le sirva a alguien.... yo estuve 2 días volviéndome loco

F9 >> Enabled

Fresh install - Linux Mint 15 kde, with kde 4.10.5 (mint's default) work perfectly.....

udisks --monitor >> Shows activity when plug in an usb device.... but not mount it in /media/xxxxxxx and of course not shown anything in Dolphin panel

BTW: KDE 4.11 instaled with kubuntu-backports ppa.

Thanks for your reply...

is there a mount point? unless Mint changed it it will be under /var/run/media/ in a folder called your user_name (not sure that exists until a device is connected)

No... under /var/run/xxxxx there is nothing, mount point in Linux Mint is under /media/xxxxx.....
and no, the mount point appears when insert a device.

Does this thread help?

viewtopic.php?f=224&t=110527

(edit)

actually it's the bug report in that thread that you might want, concluding with

"I've just upgraded libudisks2-0 from 2.0 to 2.1 from [OpenSUSE] Factory unstable (Base:System)"
