Everytime I log in, the reminder daemon places are reminder window on the taskbar. When I hover my mouse over it, I can see that there are some antiquated reminders that it thinks I should know about (these are not to be found in the actual program). However, when I click on it, nothing happens which means I have no way to dismiss them. The only way I can get rid of it is to right click on the taskbar entry and close it out. But of course it reappears the next time I log in (I feel like I am taking crazy pills here).

Can anyone help me out here? I actually like the reminders when they work, but I am afraid to put anymore reminders into the system because of this.

THanks in advance.

Oh, by the way, this is Kubuntu 13.04, kde 4.10.2. However, this has been going on for a while, prior to my upgrade.

Are you using saving your session when you log in or out? As far as I can tell (but I haven't been using reminders lately) this issue didn't occur to me.

No, I start with a new session everytime. I think I may have figured it out. I found a configuration file at home/kde/share/config/korgacrc that had a bunch of reminder listings that seemed to match the ones that kept popping up. I (after backing up the file, of course) deleted all of these listings, logged out and logged back in. Lo and behold, there is no more wierd unclickable reminder.

What I have NOT done is added a new test reminder to see if it will work correctly going forward. I will set one up due tommorrow, so that I should get a reminder the next time I log in. So, I will let you know my results (hope for the best).

Thanks for the quick response.

Keep that file a while longer. If it the issue represents itself, you may want to file a bug and attach an anyonymized version of said file (changing the event names or something) to it.

Okay, will do. Thanks for the advice. As for the reminders, I just completed the new test, and all seems well. Thanks again.
