Stripping KDE dependencies possible ?

Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:27 am
Hi,

since I'm not working on KDE desktop, I do not gain from the KDE intergation of Kdenlive.
Now, would it be possible, in general, to strip KDE dependencies to get a plain QT4 version for
any non-KDE desktop. I'm thinking of KDE stuff being wrapped for cond. compilation. ( -> e.g. --disable-kde)

What would be affected ?
- Notification (might be ported to different notification systems, right ?)
- Drag&Drop with other KDE tools ? (I've no clue - I'm running Kdenlive on Enlightenment or Gnome)
- Is configuration based on KDE intrastructure ?
- Anything else ?

Could a KDE user / developer comment and complete the list ?

Thanks,
Toby
