The Idea: Make it easier to find files after the date/or time.
If you have a camera which record at card or harddisk, you have comfort of lots of mnedia-file, all with date and time.
And now at the videoprogram? give them a better name or description? or sort them into folders with DD-MM-YY?
Especial if your record a few more days it's a good choice. So you have a direct way to the day-files and muss not search a the long list of files...

I think it could be a window over the projectcontent (mediafiles). I scribble a little bit...
