hi all
im a new user of kdenlive as i installed ubuntu 9.10 and started to seek for a decent NLE. i have to start with many thanks for creators as this piece of software seems to be well designed and thought in contrary to cinelerra which seems to be pretty powerful but its GUI makes me confused and looks like a joke... nevertheless i have some ideas that might make life of the user much more easy when working with video in kdenlive. 1 - easy overlap transition creation - having two clips on one track > user drags 1st clip over the second clip and this creates predefined type of transition/cut of predefined time and type(transition) - cursor snaps at (lets say) 1 second of transition but user can drag it more or less...type and lenght of transition user defines in project settings. it could also be added that dropping multiple clips/pictures creates transitions automatically. 2 - snapping the selection zones to clip edges, transitions etc... 3 - having the filter names as descriptive and functional as possible - now many of the filters have very confusing names 4 - i feel that zooming in/out with mousewheel would be a nice option to add via preferences (not everyone must like it but many can...) 5 - also in preferences user could have create "right-click" menu - so we could have "add filter" or "cut" or "clip properties" this is what i came up with so far...sorry for my english i know that some made similar requests already but this is just my 5 cents... if a feature req has to be done via mantis - please explain how to do it as i got very confused of how to read/use mantis... sincerely - tom |
