How to reproduce:

Have a 2 video track above each other, transparent PNG image clip and video clip, image above video indeed.

Transparency of the image clip is lost! It's got a black background now. this worked fine in 0.4.

This is a serious bug, transparent PNG are the only way hoe to get somem level of transparency to Kdenlive!

Note:

Full kdenlive rebuild (kdenlive_builder script) from SVN sources updated 16.6.2007 (most recent ffmpeg+mlt+kdenlive at that time)

I fixed a bug right now when the lower clip had a transition, but anyways if you want transparency on a png image you have to enable the "Transparent background" feature in the image clip's properties dialog. Everything seems to work fine for me.

Same problem, using Kdenlive r 1592.

I can see the transparent image in Kdenlive, but not when exporting to AVI DV.

Here is my doc:

I cannot reproduce the problem, and it's hard to get an idea from your project file. Could you please post a screenshot of a very simple project on which you can reproduce this problem ?

For example if I put a simple alpha image on top of a video clip it works fine on preview and on export...

Dear JB,

Here is an example:

I can display the banner in Kdenlive, but export to AVI DV does not work.

Is this an MLT problem?

Kind regards,

Jean-Michel

Ooops. This is my fault. Tested. It is OK. Export to DVD is OK too. Export to DV too. So I'm not experiencing the same problem as jmpoure.
