Hi!

I can capture DV fine using dvgrab and kino but KDEnlive 0.5, as running under JackLab RC2, produces this error when I try pushing the record or play buttons under the capture window

ffplay: symbol lookup error: ffplay: undefined symbol: pstrcpy

Too many output file names.

Usage: dvgrab [options] [file] [-]

Try dvgrab --help for more information

JackLab comes with dvgrab 3.0 and kdenlive seems to be working well apart from the broken capture

Thanks for your help!

I can report the same bug under Debian SID. This is not a distribution specific issue. DV capture is broken.

Yes, sorry to answer so late, but will be very busy until the end of september. If I remember correctly, There was a small change in dvgrab 3.0, so that Kdenlive currently only works with dvgrab 2.0 - 2.1.

It is just a small change in the command line option, so this mean Kdenlive will have to detect your dvgrab version and adapt its command line to the installed dvgrab. I will try to look at it...

The issue is in dvgrab. A 3.1 version should soon be released that will fix the issue.
