Hi All

Have downloaded kdenlive but a error comes up when it shows front page (Could not create video preview window ) There is something wrong with the kdenlive install or a driver settings Please fix it.

this is shown in two error boxes when you delete the boxes kdenlive front page is removed this happens every time.

you can not click on to any icon to change any thing on kdenlive only delete the error boxes

Any help to fix this thanks

How did you install Kdenlive ? If you compiled it, please make sure to follow the instructions from our site:

You are probably missing some libraries (SDL)...

the software was down loaded from Open suse (get it ) on software search

kdenlive (0.6.0) using yast meta package handler the download was successful

the Kdenlive icon comes up with a red X on it

I will look for the slm to see if they are missing

I have now followed your advice on installing Kdenlive steps 1-4 some of the libraries were missing which have been added.

This has made know difference at all the program is still in error on start up as above,

Do you think this could be a driver error and if so how do i deal with this ?

Would it make any difference to Kdenlive using opensuse 11 ? I am NOT using KDE4

I would like to use Kdenlive so any help please
