Hi all, I've got the problem that every time I try to open a file dialog kdenlive crashes. Without any error message, just doesn't do anything more until I kill -KILL it. As there isn't even a debug message, I've got no idea about how to find the problem. What could I do? Simon
And what does one need to add a clip to kdenlive? Right, the File dialog …
edit: Well, it is interesting. I decided to to part of the work on the laptop now (inserting the audio file), and the PC kdenlive became jealous. It works again now. However, should this error or a similar one occur once again, I'd like to know what to do if I don't have another Laptop or if it even happens on the Laptop ;) |

I guess I have solved the problem. It was a mounted nfs directory on the laptop. Hehe. I shut the laptop down, but the nfs still mounted. Trying to access it causes the system to try whatever, I don't even want to know it, however this was the reason that it worked again after throwing on the laptop again. I had the problem again after shutting it down, and I became suspicious as I've already once tried to access an nfs directory whilst the host was already powered off. Took a long time for me to find out why and especially how to unmount the directory ;) It works with the -l (lazy) operator. umount -l <directory>
Ah and, tomorrow I hope to finish my first kdenlive project and put it on youtube. :)
Happy weekend and gn8 Simon |
