I recently have switched from Kubuntu to Linux Mint.
I have done a clean install of Linux Mint 13 Maya 64bit.

Installing KdenLive from sunabs repository gives me the following issues:

Issue 1: Proxy Clips

I get the following error when trying to create proxy clips, this is the log file:

fmpeg version 0.8.3-4:0.8.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2012 the Libav developers
built on Jun 12 2012 16:52:09 with gcc 4.6.3
*** THIS PROGRAM IS DEPRECATED ***
This program is only provided for compatibility and will be removed in a future release. Please use avconv instead.

Seems stream 0 codec frame rate differs from container frame rate: 50.00 (50/1) -> 50.00 (50/1)
Input #0, mpegts, from '/home/ockels/Video's/test/00003.MTS':
Duration: 00:00:18.24, start: 0.484211, bitrate: 23765 kb/s
Program 1
Stream #0.0[0x1011]: Video: h264 (High), yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 50 fps, 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
Stream #0.1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 256 kb/s
Unknown encoder 'libmp3lame'

Issue 2:

Cannot encode to h264: missing video codec libx264
Cannot encode to Flash & mpeg-4: missing audio codec libmp3lame

I tried to resolve it by trying to install libavcodec-extra-52 with:

sudo apt-get install libavcodec-extra-52

but it won't install (not available)

Any help is appreciated....

------

EDIT: SOLVED

There seemes to be no package for libavcodec-extra-52

Installing libavcodec-extra-53 does the trick

Solution:

In a terminal do: sudo apt-get install libavcodec-extra-53

Afterwards do not forget to start the configuration wizard again!
