Ghost of edit past...

Sun Jul 26, 2009 2:38 am
When I scrub after a clip has been cut up sometimes it will show a little bit of what has been cut off. Which makes me always go zoom in and carefully check frame by frame to be sure that the removed parts are gone.

kubuntu 9.04
kde 4.2.4
Kdenlive 0.7.5

What is after your clip that should be shown instead of remnants of the past? Should it be the end of the movie, black, or another shot?
What are the formats of your clips where you have noticed this?

sometimes nothing.... sometimes another clip.

Bascially just cutting up footage and scrubbing to see what I have.... I have to do a double take because I will see a few frames of something I just chopped off the end of a clip.

Something about your AVI is not compatible with MLT's FFmpeg plugin. Is there a problem when you render? If not, then you can just live with the nuisance for now - until things improve. Also, you can file a proper bug report and attach a sample file.

It happens in the render sometimes.... but not always.

Here is a clip ..... if you watch it there will be times where it jumps back in time. Though it adds a bit of style to the video it is not what I wanted. I was actually trying to tighten timing.

I also noticed that

-I can't layer mp3 audio with out scrambling....
-If I change the duration length of a clip it will implode if I try razoring it after sometimes.
-Sometimes I can't move clips and have to save and reload.

Here is a shot of the usual basic edit that I have been doing. Image
