The spacer tool moves tracks that are locked. which defeats the purpose of locking the track in the first place

Agreed... I am working to fix this issue. There are still some unresoved issues with track locking and groups.

I am not sure how to handle track locking when there is a group that goes over several tracks including the locked one... Should we also lock all tracks where the group goes? any idea on the best way to handle this are welcome.

Don't really know what groups are... but all i know is that it would move all unlocked clips together and leave the locked ones alone. So pretend like its not there and just move the active ones over/past.
