Kdenlive is unusable to me now...

Thu Apr 15, 2010 4:03 am
I used kdelive all last summer for my video's with relatively no problems except for the occasional crash... now I can't do anything. I feel frustrated.

If I drag a single video onto the time line and click play it will lock up the playback after a minute or so. Mp3's sound like slow garbage when played. Even if it is the only element in the scene with no video.

Kdenlive 0.7.7.1
Kubuntu 9.10 kde 4.3.5 64bit

Here is information about the video file I am trying to edit.

There are problems with kdenlive and Ubuntu audio.
Search the forum for "pulseaudio" for a solution.

So is the audio issue the root of the locking up/ instability?

Does anyone know if this is corrected with Kubuntu 10.04?

I just installed Kubuntu 10.04... everything seems better now. Will have to do more thorough testing though.
