Anyone else with this issue? Kdenlive ver 0.9.2, ffmpeg version 0.8.1-4:0.8.1-0ubuntu1,melt 0.8.0, recordMyDesktop v0.3.8.1

When I use Record Monitor with source as screen grab then when I stop the capture kdenlive reports Capture crashed, please check your parameters. A 4 second white .ogv file is added to the clip project tree.

Hm, i'm using 0.93 and there is no bug like this. Just with 1 mbit it doesn't work, but with changes to 1mbit (just to try) it works perfectly.

Where did you get 0.9.3 from? Front page says latest is 0.9.2.

Are you saying that you changed the configuration of screen grab and reduced the bit rate to 1mega bit?
My default setting was 2000,000 bit (2mbit). Are you saying 1mbit worked or less than 1mbit worked.

I tried 1mbit and still have the issue.

I'm using 0.9.3 and have been for a while now. For Ubuntu, you can get it from here:-

Don't worry, it's not as bad as he makes out :-)

mine seems to create 0 byte size ogv files that fail. I am using kdenlive version 0.9.3+git20121219.836ab975-0ubuntu0~sunab~precise1 and recordmydekstop version 0.3.8.1+svn602-1ubuntu3. Here's some screen grabs

ubuntuaddicted and and yoshimitsuspeed. Looks like your issues are very similar to mine. All I can suggest is that you add more details on your setup and experience to my bug report and see if this makes anyone interested in looking at fixing it.

Other users reporting it at least means it is somewhat reproducible.
