I reduced the size of the project to a 165Mb tar file, that can be downloaded on Internet.

Just email me and I can send you the file (Dan, JB, Neil) for debugging purpose.

I uninstalled both MLT and Kdenlive, svn update, made clean and compiled.

Unfortunately, the projects are still crashing on loading !

I have the same problem, it crashes when I try to open a recent project, I don't know how to use the patch, could somebody explain it to me?

This thread is from 2007. Yes, the patch was applied on August 2, 2007. You must be having some other bug. It would be best if you can make a backtrace in gdb and then post a bug in the bug tracker.
