Hi,

I've setup a machine at work running kubuntu 7.04 but got following problem when running kdenlive:

Quote:

kdenlive: error while loading shared libraries: libmlt.so.0.2.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I had the same problem on my machine at home (which is unfortunately out of order right now caused by a hdd crash) which I could easily solve by running 'ldconfig', but this don't work here :(

Also inigo show the same error although the file is available:

Quote:

ra@kubuntu-testbox:/usr/local/lib$ ls -l

Check the content of your /etc/ld.so.conf file.

add an entry for /usr/local/lib so that it looks like:

include /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf

/usr/lib

/usr/local/lib

Then run sudo ldconfig

Should solve your problem.

Having the problem again on a freshly installed system (in a VM). However I cannot find the libmiracle.so at all. 64-bit system. Why that? libmlt1/melt/... is installed.

MLT 0.4.X and Kdenlive 0.7.4 no longer require libmiracle (it was an artifact of earlier versions). This means your build is wrong. Maybe you fetched the wrong version of mlt. The subversion repo is no longer used; check that.
