I can confirm this, same messages. It is not possible to start kdenlive even after deleting all configs. It crashes right after selecting Videoformat. |

Also confirmed, Ubuntu 8.04 on a Toshiba A75-2291. Worked with few issues on 7.04 + 7.10, so not sure what happened with this release. Possibly related to the PulseAudio crashes + issues hounding everything else? |

You could try removing the kdenliverc file (/home/YOURLOGIN/.kde/share/config/kdenliverc), which helped. |

As i said above, it also crashes with config removed prior to starting kdenlive. It doesnt matter what i do - it just won't start. Using Kubuntu 8.04 fresh install with nvidia propriety driver. No error messages, no log entries. The machine is: Asus P4P800 mobo, 2GiG DDR RAM, P4 HT 2.8Ghz, 2x500GB SATA-II Harddrives, Nvidia XFX GF7900GS 512MB DDR3 Video-RAM, 2xTFT 1280x1024 in Cinerama Setting 2560x1024 maybe it is of any help Norm |
