I am not a coder, I am an end user, an editor, so I have absolutely no idea if what I am showing you now is of any use. Your comments on my crash log are welcome and if it is useful to you then I can keep doing it. Best Wishes, Jack Adams. |

Yes, the backtrace is useful. The best way to have a bug fixed is first to tell which Kdenlive version you are using and then, if possible, describe a way to reproduce the bug / crash... I will commit some changes that might fix the crash you experienced. |

Many thanks. We are now moving along with the development of kdenlive in the studio and I will make it standard practice to log the back trace when we experience any issues. Jack Adams |

We are taking this a step further and looking to create our own forum where we can post screen shoot jpg's and back trace. This means that we can put our question here with a link and you don't have the worry of images and stuff on your forum. Please comment on the usefulness of what we are doing, We think this could be useful beyond our own needs but first we need to see if it works for you guys or how we can adapt this to something useful all round. This issue really is something I feel we need to deal with but you have a look and you will get an idea of where we are going to. Jack http://takethepebble.com/linux/?q=dodgy-crash |
