My account to the new bugtracker doesn't work and i won't signup for another login just to report a bug. Why don't the forum accounts work in the bugtracker ?

Anyway, here is my system:

Asus P4P800 board, ATI X1600Pro GFx, 2 GiG RAM, Kubuntu 7.10 fresh install, kdenlive 0.50, latest ATI driver 8.4 from today, default xorg.conf with all overlays set to off (doesn't change anything)

Whenever i startup kdenlive it initializes my screens, turning them blank for a second. This also happens whenever i work in the timeline, move clips, play clips and so on. In other words: its unusable. I made a short mov videoclip to illustrate how it looks. You may download it from my site here: http://ds-media.eu/media/kdenlive_live.mov (appr. 45MBytes). Kdenlive is the only app that behaves like this. If you need more infos, then please don't hesitate to ask.

Since i use kdenlive, i invented a new unit, cpm (crashes per minute). Kdenlive made it to the top with 5 crashes per minute, directly followed by Cinelerra (3 cpm). Congratulations ! :)

PS:

To avoid crashing, i have to delete all config files from the .kde directory and then start all over again until the next crash.
