Crashes when Cropping ..

Thu May 14, 2009 8:37 pm
1- Working in HD 720p when trying to crop a clip at certain point (about 50%) it simply crashes the program.. (It happended to me with a jpg image but guess is the same for videofiles) !!

2- I have not been able to keyframe applying an animated rotation to a clip... it seems applies it where it wants and I can't control at all by using any keyframe or anything..:((

3- please ALL the visual effects should be customizable by keyframes so people can change them in time and transform it with values...this is very basic and important to achieve a desired result..!

cheeers..

Now fixed in current version of mlt (in git) by ddennedy. Will be released as 0.4.2.

"please ALL the visual effects should be customizable by keyframes"

It is easier said than done, but it is an objective for 2009 except I can not impose that ALL effect parameters are keyframable because some effects parameters may be stateful and not sensitive to changes. Esp. when effects come from things like frei0r where I do not have full control. But bug fixing, better, more correct media support, and missing basic effects are more important. For example, I could have made Pan and Zoom keyframable, but then the results would be ugly due to lack of sub-pixel interpolation.
