I'm trying to add a transparent png layer to a video with kdenlive, which worked in 0.7.2, but today the so maniest unexplainable kdenlive bug crosses my road...
When I add a transparent layer to the video kdenlive puts it on top of the video but only on some positions in the chosen interval. On some positions (in the interval!) it's simply not there, but most of the time it's cropped and put in the right upper corner. That is when there is a video layer under the layer, when there is no video layer beneath; the layer is positioned correctly but it looks horrible. Here are some screenshots of the issue ( I recreated it with some random video). As you can see, when there is a video layer beneath, the png layer is cropped and moved to the left upper corner. When there is no video layer underneath the layer is positioned correctly but it looks plain ugly. http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/6573/testcyr.png http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/8971/schermafdruk.png |

Oh yes I forgot to mention some other stuf: I'm using kdenlive 0.7.3 , mlt 0.3.8. On ubuntu 9.04, kde 4.2.2.
Is there anything else I need to specify? Is the description of the problem clear enough? |

You must create a black color clip and put it in the timeline in the intervals with no video.

Hmm, that seems to only work in some (apparently random) cases. I'm trying it out in a project, and at first it seemed to work. But now placing black color clips doesn't seem to work anymore...
Edit: I tried it out on some random material and it doesn't work at al. The only thing which seems to change is a large black (square) artefact in the left upper corner. |
