I don't know if these are actually bugs, so just wanted to post here to see if I'm doing something wrong before filing as a bug report.

I'm using HD720 MPEG-4 material, kdenlive 0.7.8 on Ubuntu 10.10 x64.

1) when I move the playback head through the timeline while paused, the monitor doesn't update. if I hit Play, and then move the playback while playing, it DOES update.

2) I have a long piece of source material with multiple shots, that I want to split up into sub-clips and then arrange in the timeline. I set the in/out in the clip monitor, and drag the clip back to the project tree, or use Monitor->Insert Zone in Project Tree. This works, but after 4 or 5 times it stops working; no error or response when trying to do the operation.

I'm wondering if these have something to do with the fact that I'm using MPEG 4 compressed material as source?
