Rendering crash on .mp4 render, using yesterdays kdenlive/mlt/ffmpeg.
Problem is at the end of the render process. I can always eproduce problem this way: melt -profile hdv_720_30p hi1.mp4 -consumer avformat:h.mp4 Allowing this to finish will always segfault, with buffer overflow detected and ffplay gives [[mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2 @ 0x10c7080]moov atom not found] If I use the 'q' key to stop melt before the end, the output file is perfect. If I use: melt -profile hdv_720_30p hi1.mp4 -consumer avformat:h.avi it will not segfault, but playibg the .avi in melt HAS ONE BLANK FRAME appended to file. Seems like a for (..) or a do/while problem. |

Yes, there is some new instability that I have to fix before the next MLT release.

Off topic, are you using a gui for kdenlive development? I retired from C/C++/pascal programming in '01 and I'd love to hack at this a little. I couldn't make a LT commitment because of terminal COPD.

Mostly, I work on MLT, but a little on Kdenlive as well. I use Qt Creator for both.
Oh, and I fixed a few bugs yesterday afflicting melt crashing on render. One was a regression in MLT post v0.4.6. One was to address some recent change in FFmpeg - not exactly sure when. And last is to address second pass of dual pass multi-threaded encoding (not default) with x264. |
