Ubuntu Release 9.04
Kernal Linux 2.6.28-generic
GNOME 2.26.1
Memory: 993.2 MiB
Processor 0: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2050 @ 1.60GHz
Processor 1: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2050 @ 1.60GHz

I've been using the official Canonical build, but that is very unreliable (and outdated). I tried building it from source, and it worked successfully. However, when I start it up, it says FFMpeg, libdv, and Qimage are not found, even though I have the latest versions installed from source on my computer. If I skip this step, the program does not start and just crashes immediately. I tried all the suggestions I could find on this forum and others. Using KDE does not make a difference. Changing to another default format does not make a difference.

Here is the results from running it on the terminal:

You are better off sticking to packages if you can not get it to work manually compiling from source. Also, maybe give the kde3-kommander Build Wizard a shot.

The same happens with prebuilt packages.
