Hello Guys,
I am preatty new with Kdenlive and Ubuntu , I am trying to edit a personal video, but when I load the audio and play it on Kdenlive it seems to be saturated and you can not even recognize what is that. Even when I load the video with the original audio it sounds bad. Buuut when you render it, the sound is perfect? I am using: Kdenlive 0.7.6 KDE 4.3.2 Does anybody has similar problems? and solutions? |

Could be that you have pulseaudio installed. If you know what you are doing you could try removing pulseaudio.
Search this forum for pulseaudio and see here: http://kdenlive.org/user-manual/troubleshooting-and-common-problems/sound-bad-and-delayed and http://kdenlive.org/forum/remember-remove-pulseaudio-if-using-kubuntu-karmic Hope this helps, Geoff |

Hello Guys
After removing Pulseaudio Kdenlive works properly but all the special keys for audio control are not working anymore! I hope that in future this bug is solved. Kind regards |

I have had some success leaving PulseAudio installed and installing the libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio package. YMMV. I am not sure why this package is not the default SDL audio backend in Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libsdl1.2/+bug/203158 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libsdl1.2/+bug/386104 If this works for you, please vote those bugs in launchpad up! |

I have libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio, fresh install. and I have sound, but choppy. Without libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio there was no sound. After render is now sound good. I cut .mov with mjpeg. P.

Remember to install the new libsdl1.2-dev 1.2.14-1 if you are compiling mlt.

This fixes the crackling. How do I fix the delay?

Do you hear crackling when you play the rendered output outside of Kdenlive (in a different video player)? If so, then is this crackling in Kdenlive playback a major problem to do your work or just minor annoyance?
I can confirm that on my system with a creative sound card, I do get frequent ALSA buffer under runs during playback that causes crackling, but so far this has just been a minor nuisance, does not affect rendered output, and not so easy for me to fix in MLT. |

hi
i think this crackling problem would be fixed if kdenlive supports Jack, Jack support should be added the new jack is amazing, |
