Hello Guys,
I am planning to make a video with transitions but it result really dificult when you cannot see the size of the transition that will affect between the videos. I am using: Kdenlive 0.7.6 KDE 4.3.2 Attached is a picture about the lack of it. Do I need to enable something? Regards |

This is strange. Which distro are you using? did you compile Kdenlive by yourself or is it a package? Which desktop are you using: KDE or Gnome?, and last question: can you try disabling Desktop effects

Hello J-B-M I am using
Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala and I used the Synaptic to get Kdenlive installed in my Laptop, Sorry I am preatty new in Ubuntu I dont know how can I help further to get rid of this problem. During my last video I got many errors and problems that closed kdenlive, but I didnt have enougth time to elaborate the report, I will look to do that in future. Using Kdenlive this way is not so easy. Kind regards |

Seems like it is an Xorg / driver issue, as reported in that bug:
http://kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=1246 The reporter had an intel video driver, and solved the issue using the following steps: SOLVED -> Intel driver issue. Upgrade to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.9.1 and the transitions are visible now. Solution: Adding the repo from https://edge.launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa [^] deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu [^] karmic main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu [^] karmic main to /etc/apt/sources.list Import the PGP key sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade |
