Hi, I am new linux User; I had installed Kdenlive 0.7.6 in ubuntu karmic 9.10, and when I play the project or a clip in a preview windows, kdenlive don't show the preview and the cpu go to 100%.
What I can do?

Open a terminal (console) window and try playing one of your clips from the command line.

First, try:

ffplay myclip.mpg

then:

melt myclip.mpg

Do you clips play correctly?

ffplay xx.mpg video can be seen properly for a few seconds and then stops, and cpu go to 100%
with melt xxx.mpg appears only a black screen without seeing the clip and cpu 100%

I solved it this way:
Install libsdl1.2debian-all and then try again. If it still does not go in settings Kdenlive go to see and test all the audio output until you find one that goes.
