Proxy Clip Audio Video Loses Sync

Fri Feb 25, 2011 12:50 am
Proxy Clip Audio Video Loses Sync

How to reproduce:

Build 0.7.9 Rev 5458

Open Kdenlive
Project Settings - change to HD 1080p 29.97 fps
Turn on Proxy Clips, accepting defaults
Add Clip - choose MTS file 425 MB

Warning comes up:
Your clip does not match current project's profile.
No existing profile found to match the clip's properties.
Clip size: 1920x1080
Fps: 59.9401

Answer OK to warning
Enable proxy clip for that MTS in Project Tree
Wait till it finishes generating proxy clip
Play clip in Clip Monitor - it plays proxy version just fine
After 10 seconds, click on the beginning of the timeline - audio and video become out of sync. Audio is correct.
Digital time in Clip Monitor appears to follow audio correctly

What proxy settings are you using?

Can you use something like mediainfo or ffplay to give a detailed description of source and possibly a sample?

I have same sort of problems with HDV and seeking, guess its just poor support in ffmpeg. Have you tried transcoding?

Have you tried creating custom proxy settings?
