Hi,
Any ideas why I'm getting a long pause/hang after playing any video (clips or project)? The video actually plays fine, but kdenlive just hangs for ~10 seconds once it's finished playing, then everything just works fine again. It's kdenlive 0.7.7.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit. Cheers. Coops. |

Anyone have any ideas where to start with this? I'm stuck.
I've attempted to strace the process but can't see what it's simply hanging on. I've fiddled with the video output settings but with no difference. It simply hangs for a number of seconds as soon as a clip finishes. Cheers. Coops. |

No idea. Same if you e.g. add a color clip? Same if you hit pause when playing?

It's the same when you pause/resume a video.
I have 'discovered' something though, when I play any of the clips directly via ffplay, it hangs at the end of the clip (or if I Ctrl+C it). It feels suspiciously similar to how kdenlive hangs. So the next question is, how do I go about debug ffplay? Any ideas? I've checked against my laptop (where kdenlive runs fine), and ffplay is identical (same ubuntu version and architecture too). Coops. ***Update:*** Using strace I've found this is what ffplay is hanging on. futex(0x7f68499b19e0, FUTEX_WAIT, 12782, NULL) = 0 So it seems to be waiting for a lock on something. Any ideas? |

Now that's strange. My next idea would be #ffmpeg in IRC or their mailing list. They for sure know more than I do :)
And about color clips? Did you check? |
